Ballymaloe Cookery School Week 1

Have you heard of the Ballymaloe Cookery School run by Darina Allen in Cork Ireland?  Well if not, you should.  Our manager Erin Rowsell is there right now taking their 12 week professional program.  She will be updated us through the blog of her learnings and about the school!  Ballymaloe takes place on a 100 acre organic farm with a fresh dairy, cows (obviously), hens, greenhouses and both organic and biodynamic gardens.  It is stunning.  Here are a few of the photos from the first week!  Things we learned this week included stocks and sauces, dressings, beautiful heirloom and organic green salads, plucking a duck, tasting local cheeses, using local milk, making good ol’ Irish Soda bread, and so much more!
